Judge Bob Inselmann has spent more than forty years in Texas law — representing clients on every side of a dispute, and later deciding those disputes from the bench.
He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and received his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 1988. From 1988 through 1993 he practiced with Zeleskey, Cornelius, Hallmark, Roper & Hicks, where his practice focused primarily on insurance defense litigation.
In 1993 he established the Law Office of Robert Inselmann, representing insurance companies, injured individuals, businesses, and families in civil litigation, family law, probate, and guardianship matters. In 2006 he was elected Judge of Angelina County Court at Law No. 1, and in 2014 Judge of the 217th Judicial District Court, serving until his retirement in 2026.
